Wholesale Broker Coordinator

Position completes the timely and accurate processing of conditions, lock issues and communication with our brokers for the purpose of getting loans approved.  This includes but is not limited to the review of all financial statements, bank statements, verification of deposits, verification of employment, paystubs, tax returns and appraisal to determine whether or not the documents are satisfactory to clear the conditions.  This position is also responsible for maintaining quality relationships with brokers, account executives and financial institutions.

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

 
Validate and initiate the need for a Rush in underwriting, conditions being cleared or documents needing to be drawn
Abreast of all current policies and procedures as they relate to underwriting conditions and programs
Identifies procedural issues and problems and works with supervisor to resolve/correct
Handles problems or complaints from brokers loan officers and underwriters with the assistance of their supervisor
Attend periodic meetings to address new policies, procedures and issues
Provide prompt and quality service to all employees at New America and clients
Accurate and timely evaluation of all prior to document conditions
Accurate completion of all New America Quality Control forms i.e. prior to document checklist and any other forms put in place
Inform supervisor of any possible fraudulent issues
Accurate input of necessary information in the computer conversation log i.e. broker conversations, status of underwriting conditions
Communicate with brokers, agencies and internal staff professionally
Assists supervisor as directed
Contribute to overall organizational goals
Timely return of all broker telephone calls

 

 MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

 
Minimum 2 year processing or equivalent experience, wholesale prime experience preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to make prudent decisions and communicate decisions in a positive manner
Flexible and has the ability to deal with a changing work environment
Ability to handle huge monthly swings in workflow and to work quickly
