If you're a DE - FHA Underwriter, we have a great opportunity for you in our expanding wholesale division in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The successful candidate will have:

?  At least a high school diploma (college is preferred)

?  2+ years experience as an underwriter 

?  Must have DE designation

?  Prefer wholesale experience, but will consider retail

?  Experience underwriting for other states helpful

?  Experience underwriting for other states helpful l

? Can-Do attitude with great customer service skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Underwriter reviews loan files and underwrites loans to established guidelines.  Underwriters are expected to maintain current knowledge of state mortgage licensing requirements, as well as maintain a working knowledge of current lending programs and Underwriting guidelines to ensure loans are within Company standards.

Underwriters will be expected to communicate with Account Executives and Brokers partners to in a positive and friendly manner in order to develop and cultivate relationships.

The ideal candidate will join Heartwell?s mission of financing the American Dream by providing courteous, efficient, effective and timely service to customers. This will include not only underwriting, but also conducting training classes on occasion with our business partners, and providing ongoing training to new Loan Officers over the telephone.

Strong organizational skills will help to establish /maintain a follow through system for regular updates with business partners and account executives.
