Business Development

The applicant will be responsible for research, analysis, and project coordination to drive Signum?s business development projects. He/she will be expected to orchestrate a broad array of licensing and strategic partnering activities, identify potential cosmeceutical, nutritional supplement, pharmaceutical, and biotech licensees; write reports; develop presentations; and create spreadsheets and other materials to support decision making and communicate to internal and external audiences.

He/she will explore potential strategic alliances and often be the point individual representing Signum in discussions with organizations about product or technology licensing, and various strategic partnerships. Will coordinate the establishment of internal benchmarks and product development timetables for such cooperative ventures, and will drive their attainment and monitor the progress of such schedules. Candidate will be responsible for setting internal and external licensing milestones, as well as ensuring that schedules are met.

He/she must have a strong science orientation and a proven track record of business development, out-licensing, and project management experience in a fast-paced results-oriented, small-company environment. A background in the cosmeceutical, nutritional supplement or biotech arenas is preferred. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals across all organizational levels; excellent organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple potential client?s simultaneously; strong analytical, communication and technical writing skills are required.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's Degree (technical major preferred), MBA (preferred)
? 5+ years of experience in food, dietary supplement or cosmetic industry, cosmetics preferred.
? Successful examples of out-licensing into cosmetic, dietary supplement, biotech or food companies.
? Ability to operate effectively with limited oversight or support, identify and gain access to decision makers, demonstrate competence, and orchestrate complex multi-player negotiations.
? Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
? Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
? Travel is required
