Chemist / Chemical Engineer

The exceptional candidate will look forward to being a part of the Research & Development team, as well as collaborating with Marketing and Manufacturing to reach common goals.  This person will have the opportunity to create new formulations and research ways to improve existing product quality and develop new features; ensure quality standards are achieved including approval of raw materials and testing finished goods; work with Marketing to test new and competitive formulations, and have responsibility for regulatory and packaging labeling.

 

The position requires a self-motivated team player with:

-  A BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

-  Minimum five years experience, preferably within the plastics, adhesives or paint industries

-  Demonstrated ability to share knowledge, collaborate cross-functionally and work toward common goals

-  Experience with the product development cycle, ideally in a consumer products organization

-  Proven accomplishments with developing new products and modifying existing formulations

-  A dedication to customer service and quality improvement

-  A desire to stay at the forefront of relevant new technologies

-  Experience with patent filings, regulatory filings, and U.S. and foreign labeling requirements

-  Strong computer, analytical and communication skills

-  The desire to have fun!
