For U.S.-Based Influenza Vaccine Start-Up Project

Solvay Pharmaceuticals, subsidiary of Solvay S.A., a $9B international pharmaceutical and chemical company, was recently awarded the U.S. government?s largest funding to develop the leading edge, cell-based influenza vaccine in the United States.

At our suburban Atlanta, GA headquarters, we are seeking an individual who can step into an extremely high-visibility role and build upon our extensive international experience to conduct the clinical development of a seasonal and pandemic influenza vaccine.

If you are an expert in conducting clinical vaccinology programs, with experience in Phase II ? III studies, and regulatory submissions, we want to talk to you! We will pay relocation for the right candidate.

You will work with our Global Clinical Director to implement a strategic clinical development plan for the U.S. Facility, in addition to:

Serving as our domestic influenza and vaccinology expert
Finding an optimal method of realizing compound development
Managing internal and external resources to ensure successful completion of project milestones on time and within budget

Top-notch communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, as you will be overseeing a highly developed, experienced project team, as well as representing Solvay within scientific, governmental, and regulatory communities.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed M.D. / D.O. with clinical training in medicine, infectious disease and/or virology; or a PhD with 8-10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience; including the development of a prophylactic vaccine for infectious disease (influenza development experience a plus), with accomplishments in program completion and regulatory submission.

This position will require international travel 4-6 times a year.
