Development Coordinator

Summary:

The Development Coordinator has a solid background in fund raising, upholds the highest professional ethics, and works well as a member of an energetic team. Provides administrative support for a multi-million dollar capital campaign. Collaborates to create innovative methods to attract potential large gifts for the capital campaign.  Works closely with key volunteer campaign leadership and board members. The Development Associate is responsible for the day-to-day responsibilities of in-kind donations.

 

Responsibilities:

? Work with leadership on campaign strategy, identifying and cultivating individual, corporate, foundation, and public gift prospects, and general support of campaign committees.

? Identify, cultivate and solicit gifts for the capital campaign.

? Help plan, develop, coordinate, and implement capital campaign. 

? Involve increasing numbers of individuals, corporations and organizations in supporting and partnering in the Chapter?s capital campaign. 

? In conjunction with Communications staff and senior management, help develop capital campaign materials.

? Schedule, set up and take minutes for meetings of committees.

? Identify, cultivate, solicit and secure in-kind donations day-to-day and in times of disaster.

? Develops and maintains a Chapter request form and wish list for in-kind donations.

? Prepares acknowledgements and enters data into Raisers Edge.

? Identifies, develops, and involves a diverse and effective paid and volunteer staff. 

? Establishes and maintains development of short- and long-term objectives/strategies and the successful development/maintenance of the departmental budget.

? Establishes a tracking system that effectively maintains program performance as defined by the strategic plan.  Identifies related issues and trends and implements improvements.

? Performs all other related functions as assigned.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has at least a Bachelor?s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in non-profit management, marketing, liberal arts, or business.  A minimum of two years of fundraising experience is required.  The candidate must have excellent managerial, customer service, interpersonal, verbal/written communication, analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
