Research Coordinator

Overview : This position provides clinical coordination of investigational protocols including various research trials. Coordinates all operational aspects of research projects including project preparation, subject recruitment, protocol execution, data collection, and coordination and database entry. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines and assistance with publication, scientific, and poster presentations.

Indirectly Reporting:
May include Computer Programmers, Computer Engineers, Imaging Technologists (PET and MRI), Research Assistants, Laboratory Assistants, Students, Volunteers and Secretary.
Scope of Supervisory Responsibilities:
Ensures that clinical research staff and students appropriately conduct the clinical aspects of the projects and adhere to the schedule of the clinical trials. Ensures that clerical support personnel appropriately handle and store patient schedules, medical records, CRF's, regulatory and legal documents. Reports to Research Director any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Qualifications :

Bachelors in nursing or related field required. Masters degree or advanced certificate degrees preferred. Regulatory knowledge regarding the conduct of clinical research or health care operations is strongly preferred. Previous pertinent experience working in a clinical research setting. Experience with Windows NT, Microsoft Office and the capability to conduct computer based literature searches is required. The applicant must have highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrate behaviors and attitude consistent with those identified as Banner Healthcare service standards.
