Assistant Kitchen Manager Needed for Spirit of Washington

Spirit Cruises, LLC, the nation?s largest harbor dining cruise company with multiple brands, is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager for its Washington D.C.  operation. We are a growing, dynamic organization with operations in six cities and are affiliated with Sodexho, a major international corporation.

The incumbent, who reports to the Kitchen Manager, will assist in the overall management of the kitchen staff and will be instrumental in the preparation and delivery of the food product to our guests with the ultimate goal of providing a ?food experience? that ?WOW?s? each and every guest. THE POSITION
* Shift management.
* Maintains & adheres to strict sanitation standards.
* Assists with hiring and training of all kitchen staff.
* Assists with scheduling & payroll.
* Other duties such as inventory & food ordering.

THE REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 2 years cooking experience, preferably banquet.
* Experience in a high-volume, full-service operation.
* Minimum 1-year staff management experience.
* Formal culinary training a plus, but not required.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to multi-task and able to work in high-pressure environment.
* Strong customer service & leadership skills.
