Associate Prepared Foods Coordinator

We are looking for a culinary expert to support and assist the Prepared Foods Team Leaders (Managers) and Prepared Foods Departments for the 20 stores in Midwest Region with an additional 4-6 in development. This is a great opportunity for someone with a culinary background who has a passion for food and a creative mind, but is looking for a position where they can have a quality of life.

This position reports to the Prepared Foods Coordinator and is responsible for ensuring the implementation and carry out of regional and national Prepared Foods Programs including seasonal promotions. In addition, will help to maintain department profitability, increase department sales, and participate in regional meetings and special projects as assigned.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Be Accountable for the performance for all prepared foods teams;
2. Drive regional merchandising initiatives-complete weekly plans for each store;
3. Develop systems to improve productivity and consistency;
4. Maintain awareness of competition;
5. Improve food safety standards;
6. Constantly drive and improve margin performance;
7. Focus on building sales and improving regional comp. Sales;
8. Create training programs for implementation;
9. Play an active part in establishing future vision of Midwest region Prepared Foods Team;
10. Assist in design of new departments as part of the Development team;
11. Daily communication and updates with the Prepared Foods Coordinator; and
12. Create, expand and refine FOCUS training programs.REQUIREMENTS

1. 5 years culinary, back of the house leadership experience, or equivalent
2. Outstanding motivational skills.
3. Computer knowledge, working spreadsheets, Microsoft office.
4. Strong understanding of margins/profitability/inventory control
5. Regional Perspective when working in the stores.
6. Passion for great food.
7. Organizational skills, time management a must.
8. Ability to support regional programs and initiatives in the stores.
9. Strong written and oral communication skills a must.
10. Ability to travel (regionally and nationally)
