Beverage Server - Horseshoe

SUMMARY: Serves beverages to guests by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Takes beverage order and relays it to Bartender.

Collects order from Bartender, adds appropriate garnish, places on tray, and serves to patrons with cocktail napkins.

Computes bill and accepts payment.

Requests identification from customers when legal age is questioned.

Removes empty or dirty glasses and bottles and returns them to the bar or kitchen.

Promotes outstanding guest relations

Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines

Perform other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL DUTIESJOB DIMENSIONS: Attendance, which may be modified by Horseshoe from time to time, is an essential function of the job and is required to successfully perform in this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to Horseshoe disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. It is expected that Horseshoe employees report to work well-groomed and always practice good hygiene while n duty.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Horseshoe policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of company facilities. Employees who violate company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Previous experience as a waitress, preferable in a similar environment

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per government regulations

Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required
