Catering/Convention Services Manager

The Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, the midwest's premier convention location and a member of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, is currently seeking an energetic and focused individual to assume the role of Catering/Convention Services Manager.  This is an event-coordinating position that will oversee the larger groups within the hotel.  This is a senior-level position, and because of the size of the property, previous experience in a similar role is required. 


 


Other responsibilities include:


 


Maintain strong client relations and ensure that event specifications are communicated and executed for a successful meeting experience for the meeting planner and attendees.  Manage, coordinate, and execute assignments turned over by the Sales department.  Monitor all contractual agreements pertaining to guest room blocks, meeting space, food and beverage and special concessions.  Effectively communicate to all hotel departments the information necessary to successfully execute the group’s needs while maintaining a good client relationship.


 


Participate in weekly/daily meetings to go over specifications and solicit feedback from Meeting Planners and clients. 


 


 



 


 

3+ years experience in a hotel conference services department.  Knowledge of Delphi required.  Bachelor's degree preferred.
