Come experience 'The Flavor of Things To Come'! SAGE is currently seeking a talented and energetic Chef for a prestigious independent school in Newton, MA. It is a 40 hour a week plus overtime position. The Chef will run the kitchen operation. Layoff in the summer and all school Holidays.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of prior upscale catering and food service management experience. Responsibilities of this position will include menu development, ordering and inventory, production, sanitation and team development. This position is for a HANDS ON chef. Client interaction and customer service are key components of this position. Candidates should love food and have the skills and flare for beautiful food presentation. Candidates should be as skilled in front of the house presentation and showmanship as they are in the kitchen.
This position is all about imagination, creativity, and demonstrating a strong work ethic. We would like to find a chef manager that understands what it means to add a little ?WOW? to the program. Consistency is the most critical factor in dining service and the successful candidate will possess the skills and leadership traits necessary to get all employees to follow him/her to reach our goals.
