Chef de Cuisine & Sous Chef Needed!
An exciting opportunity awaits! Join the Max Restaurant Group, a progressive, dynamic and financially stable organization that operates 6 high volume, upscale casual and fine dining restaurants and two catering venues through Central New England. We are currently seeking Sous Chefs and Chef de Cuisines in both the Greater Hartford and Springfield area.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership, management and organizational skills, while working with a variety of employees at different skill levels and varied backgrounds. In addition, the chef must be an independent self starter with the ability to prioritize and successfully execute multiple events. High energy level and stamina along with the ability to exhibit intensity and drive a must.
Responsibilities include menu planning, staff development and food and labor management. In your oversight of the staff, you will be responsible for all aspects of staff development and for the fostering of a respectful, healthy, and productive work environment.
At least two years experience as a Sous Chef in a high volume, upscale restaurant environment required. Previous banquet experience in high end, ala carte dining preferred. Generous salary to commensurate with experience. Health insurance, paid vacations and profit sharing also available.
