Cook I

Cook I Description: Do you have previous experience in the kitchen arena? Then you are just the person we are looking for! We are currently seeking well spoken candidates to fill our multiple Cook I positions. Incumbents must be able to problem solve and work a flexible schedule with day shift starting as early as 5am (some weekends and overtime may be required). Job duties include but are not limited to: Food preparations of entrees, sauces, starches, vegetables and salads, assist Cook II with daily production schedules, standardize recipes to larger quantities, make recommendations for menu changes, maintain daily records and advise storekeepers of changes to food item amounts. Incumbents must monitor food safety and follow all HACCP guidelines and
may also be required to participating in weekly meetings, attend Food Service Workers training, participate in the cook?s monthly rotation and be fully responsible for all phases of meal preparation in the absence of a Cook III and Cook II.




Requirements:
Interested applicants must have at least 6 months of experience. Must be able to do basic lifting of up to 30lbs., stooping, standing and bending for us to 8 hours as needed. Must be able to read menu's and recipe's, and write down any menu changes are directed by management.

Pay Rate: $12.50 - $12.87 Hourly DOE
