The Art Institute of Tennessee-Nashville is seeking a strong candidate to direct its culinary programs. Details of qualifications and responsibilities are listed below.

 

Qualifications:

Successful candidate must have seven years of progressively responsible culinary experience with at least three years? experience in a managerial capacity and a culinary, hospitality, or business degree.  An advanced professional certification such as C.E.C. is preferred.  Postsecondary teaching experience in the culinary field is preferred, and candidates must be able to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and the ability to create a learner-centered classroom environment.

 

Responsibilities:

Administration of the department?s day-to-day operations, provide leadership and vision in implementing curriculum, and recruit, develop and supervise a team of faculty and staff. Identify and develop outreach activities with the profession and community; identify and develop strong ties with local and regional industries.  Responsibilities also include departmental budget, student advising, involvement in campus committees, and student retention initiatives.
