We opened our newest premier gated community called Eagle?s Trace last fall and we are continuing to grow.  In September, we will be opening our 3rd residential building and are currently searching for a great Lead Cook to work in our kitchen as we extend our caf? and restaurant services.  We are located on Highway 6 just north of Westheimer.

 

The Lead Cook is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and quality of food purchasing, receiving, storage as directed by the Chef de Cuisine as well as the efficiency of food preparation, sanitation of the production areas, and direct supervision of production on a shift to shift basis.

 

What will you do in this role?Schedule daily kitchen production and food prep for on-time service for resident meals.Monitor preparation and service accuracy for all menu items to include proper temperature, taste, consistency, diet restrictions and portion control.Ensure proper presentation of all food items and to provide maximum appeal and freshness.Assist with the supervision, scheduling, training, and discipline with all culinary staff, utility staff, and team leaders. Maintain effective communication with managers, fellow supervisors, subordinates and all other coworkers.Supervise organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas and loading dock.Supervise opening and closing of food service operation in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine or Chef.

 

What qualifications are we looking for?Minimum of five years high volume cooking experience  Supervisory experience desirableCollege preferred High School Diploma or GED requiredCertificate in food service sanitation (Serv-safe) preferredExcellent verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure in an often fast paced environmentValue system in line with our culture
