Let's Dish! Development Manager

 

Purpose of Job:

The Development Manager will facilitate all formal communication and documentation required to complete the process flow of information between all related parties, i.e. franchise sales/corporate development to senior management, corporate operations and related disciplines, franchisees, area developers, licensed operators/developers, joint venture partners, landlords, design professionals, material, service and equipment vendors, governmental and regulatory agencies.

 

Responsibilities:

 

? Facilitate all formal communication and document distribution between related parties described above.

? Create and maintain a ?Development Schedule? which details all key process information points, i.e. LOI, internal approvals, legal status, lease, governmental, landlord, regulatory approvals, design approvals, construction documents, permit status, rent commencement, projected turn over and opening.

? Track and record all development related activity per project in ?project timeline?

? Maintain development cost spreadsheets detailing all related costs associated with each individual project, specifically; soft costs, building costs, FF&E, landlord contributions and related credits.

? Work directly with VP of Development on; formal real estate approvals, corporate store development, design, permitting, bidding, contract award and administration, material, service and equipment procurement.

? Develop and maintain service contracts on corporate and joint venture owned facilities.

? Oversee and make recommendations on departmental infrastructure and staffing requirements as such needs develop.

? Ensure that all systems are developed to be ?scaleable? for future growth.

 



 

Job Qualifications:

 

 Minimum 5 years experience in retail/restaurant construction project management. Strong project management skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to formulate flexible strategies and action plans to achieve resultsAbility to function independently and intuitively in a fast-paced environment.Hands-on management style.Proven verbal and written communication skillsExcellent PC skills including knowledge of MS Office applications and database softwareHighly organized with strong attention to detail.Ability to build partnership type relations with internal and external team members.High School graduate with minimum 2 year college education (prefer 4 year BS degree)
