Manager - General & Associate Managers for a brand new Golden Corral in Washington

    Golden Northwest Enterprises, Inc., a Golden Corral franchisee based in Washington, is currently seeking General Manager and Associate Manager candidates for an upcoming brand new restaurant in Federal Way, WA.

Our restaurant will open in January or February 2007.  But we need to hire our managers now to start a 12-week Golden Corral management training program.  You will be paid a base salary along with expenses during this training program.  You will also have the opportunity to work at other Golden Corral restaurants to apply what you have learned to get ready for our Grand Opening. 

Are you driven and passionate about quality food and service? Our managers are responsible for food production in a family style, high-volume, all-you-can-eat environment, using Golden Corral production standards regarding quality, recipes, and CSQ standards.

We require a strong, stable work history along with management experience in a high-volume, casual dining or family-style restaurant.  College coursework preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

100% Company-paid medical and dental group insurance for manager.  Competitive base salary with excellent bonus and incentive plan.  Three weeks paid vacation annually.

Job Responsibitilies:
Responsible for ensuring optimal restaurant performance by providing leadership and guidance to the Associate Manager, Assistant Managers, Crew Leaders and Crew Trainers.  Ensure Golden Corral operational standards are communicated, trained and maintained in the restaurant.

1. Provide leadership to management team through training, coaching, performance appraisal and development to ensure guests receive a pleasurable dining experience.

2.  Ensure all Golden Corral operations systems are in place for the restaurant in accordance with the Operations Manual. 

3.  Ensure the restaurant is operated within budget for sales, food, labor and controllable operating expenses.

4 Manage all company assets; financial, facility, and human resources in accordance with company policy and all federal and state regulations.  Ensure all company policies are followed including the Code of Ethics.

5. Ensure Golden Corral cleanliness, service and quality standards (CSQ) of a minimum of 85% are met or exceeded in each area of the restaurant.

6. Provide coverage for the front of the house or back of the house as necessary.  Coach team members when problems are identified and follow-up to ensure corrections are made.

7. Recruit, select and orient Assistant Managers into Golden Corral utilizing approved selection and interview process.  Ensure Co-workers and Assistant Managers participate and certify in the Fast Tracks program in order to develop members of the team.

8. Recognize members of the restaurant team for exemplary performance, length of service awards, 100 Club and other special occasions.

9. Train Crew Leaders, Crew Trainers, Assistant Managers, and Associate Manager on changes in Golden Corral standards, recipes, marketing promotions and new policies.

10.  Train, implement and execute company health and safety programs to ensure a safe environment for team members and guests.

11.  Ensure systems are in place to support timely and regular communications to members of the restaurant team.

12.  Provide input and assist in the development of the restaurant's budget.

13.  Ensure that the 18 priorities are maintained and regular preventive equipment maintenance is performed in the restaurant as well as outside of the restaurant including signs, parking lot and landscaping.

14.  Execute national restaurant marketing programs, develop and implement local restaurant marketing programs to drive customer counts and sales.

Additional Requirements:

Five or more years of management experience in operations in a high volume restaurant with diversified menu offerings. Coursework normally associated with completion of a degree business or hospitality program.  A hospitality degree is preferred. Successful completion of Phase I, II, and III of the Golden Corral management training program.  Experience with controlling food cost, labor, P&L, scheduling and employee relations is a definite plus.
