Manager Guest Service Operations

Job Description: Oversee the day-to-day front office operations for a 2,000 plus room resort. Provide leadership for 30 salaried leaders and over 500 front line Cast (employees). Responsible for coaching and directing team to exceed guest expectations; meet business plans, as well as complete managerial responsibilities, including maintaining labor and other expense within the budget guidelines. Ensure there is a constant focus on Guest Service throughout the operation. Ensure the right plans are in place and utilized to make changes, drive creative decisions, and influence planning. This position reports to the General Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)

High school degree or equivalent

Minimum 7 years hotel management experience in progressively responsible positions

Management experience in a 500 plus room resort

Demonstrated strong presentation, facilitation, and verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated strong skills in mentoring, networking, influencing, and partnership

Ability to be flexible with work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Ability to assign responsibilities, allocate resources and direct corrective action to attain favorable business impact

Ability to broaden the understanding of Disney's philosophy by continual mentoring and coaching of Cast Members

Demonstrated partnering abilities

Demonstrated strong Guest Service skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

Experience in budgeting, cost control, inventory management

Demonstrated ability to integrate global initiatives and line-of-business thinking into the daily operation

Demonstrated Guest Service abilities including commitment to achieving a diverse work force
