Meat Team Leader (Department Manager)

We are looking for a Meat Team Leader for our Highland Park store in the Dallas metro area.  The Meat Team Leader will lead the entire Meat Team while being accountable for all department operations.

Responsibilities Include:
- Analysis of sales, margins, and labor, and achieving targets
- Hiring, development, leading, and counseling of Team Members
- Control inventory.
- Demonstrate advanced product knowledge and regularly recommend new products to incorporate into product mix.
- Drive team productivity.
- Comply with all applicable health and safety codes.
- Implement and support all regional programs.
- Build displays and request appropriate signage.
- Attend all team and store meetings.
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Essential Functions:
- Previous experience leading a Meat and Poultry team in a grocery environment
- Strong meat retail background is required
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
- Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed
- Passion for food
