Operations Manager (Chicago)

Gate Gourmet International Services - a premier 'Airline Caterer' is looking for an outstanding Operations Manager for it's Chicago O'Hare location.

This individual needs to be highly motivated and possess the ability to multi-task in an ever changing environment. Must have proven experience managing in a high volume institution kitchen with full responsibilities to control operational and labor costs. Transportation experience is essential for the successful candidate, food experience background a plus.



A short list of responsibilities include:



?Must be results oriented and manage change through a team of managers

?Required to handle multiple airline customers, with a strong focus on food quality and safety

?Individual should be knowledgeable in the area of HACCP

?Individual should have a strong background in manpower scheduling and labor control

?Managing cost controls from food cost to building maintenance

?Individual must be able to take on an environment of daily change and time constraint production cycles

?Responsible for financial controls and accountability for standard operating procedures for food production operation

?Ability to train and develop subordinate staff in a team environment across multi-function areas

?Lead problem solving through a systematic approach with results, timeliness and documentation



REQUIREMENTS:



? Logistic and just in time experience a plus

? Food Service, Financial, Operational background critical to success

? Requirements of business will dictate work schedule

? Strong communication skills

? Computer skills (MS Office)

? Able to work well with others in a culturally diverse employee base

? Must be able to read, write and speak English

? Ability to speak multiple languages, a plus
