Product Manager

Mainstay Business Solutions is seeking a Product Manager, who will be responsible for the development, marketing, management, and profitability of Mainstay Business Solutions products in the restaurant industry. The critical responsibility of the Product Manager will be to act as the representative and advocate for prospects and customers from their assigned industry inside the company.  Restaurant management experience is preferred.

 

Job duties include the following:

? Understands the restaurant industry, including leading companies, key business drivers, operating environment, history and marketplace trends, etc.

? Works with key industry participants, including associations, non-competitive suppliers, and existing industry businesses, to identify and document needs (including but not limited to employment services).

? Translates market needs into clearly defined and detailed product requirements.

? Develops and implements a product marketing plan, including pricing, margins, packaging, customer presentations, and sales training.

? Coordinates with Sales Team to identify and cultivate prospects from within the restaurant industry.

? Leads the delivery of product-specific seminars to industry participants that support sales efforts.

? Provides on-going technical support pre, during, and post selling cycle.

? Organizes an appropriate level of ongoing customer interaction in order to stay current on the needs of customers and prospects.

 

Requirements include:

▪ Minimum BA from a four year college/university in related field and/or equivalent related work experience/training.

▪ Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external clients.

▪ Detail oriented on all communications, daily duties and projects. 

▪ Solid knowledge of computer systems. Windows experience including proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and database systems.

▪ Exhibits sound and accurate judgment. 

▪ Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. 

▪ Travel will be required (up to 50%).

▪ Restaurant management experience is preferred
