Project Manager

Purpose:  To manage all construction related aspect of each project from start to finish.  To hire appropriate contractors so that project is completed timely, accurately, and within allotted budget.



 

Areas of Responsibility:

?  Schedule and manage the development process from start to finish.

?  Coordinate construction projects with Landlords, architects, and contractors.  Distribute and delegate construction project adequately to ensure timely and efficient delivery of restaurant.

?  Communicate progress of each project to all appropriate positions and divisions

?  Work with jurisdictional agencies on site and building plan permitting, including representation at public hearings.

?  Coordinate Lease requirements with landlords and/or developers.

?  Develop and monitor project budgets.

Computer?Basic ability to use computer hardware and software (e.g. word processors, desktops, publishing and graphics).

Negotiation?Evaluate terms and conditions, licensing, regulatory requirements and analyze cost-benefits while negotiating contract and vendor agreements which result in mutually beneficial outcomes.

Data Entry?Ability to quickly and accurately enter data on a PC.

Business Communication?Use result-oriented writing techniques and strategies for correspondence (e.g. memos, letters, reports, proposals, etc.) with correct grammar and punctuation.

Project Management?Use tools and processes to identify project goals, set and manage the schedule, anticipate and identify issues, remove obstacles, delineate responsibility, track task completion and communicate project progress.

Delegation?Assign tasks using such techniques as needs analysis, individual skills assessment, objective setting, and communication.

Meeting Management?Facilitate effective meetings by clarifying and accomplishing meeting purposes and outcomes, building agendas, identifying expectations, managing time, and dealing with differing personal behaviors in information sharing, brainstorming, problem-solving, decision making, and action planning.

 

Position Specific Skills and Requirements:

?  Bachelor?s degree in Architecture required.

?  5 years of design/construction required.

?  AIA certification preferred.

?  Must have restaurant-remodeling experience.

?  Must be able to read and understand drawings and specifications.

?  Basic understanding of construction contracts and forms.

?  60% travel.
