Regional Director of Food and Dining Services-Los Angeles, CA (95923-645)

FUNCTION: Provide training and consultation to senior housing communities Food and Dining Departments and Administration in the CA, AZ, TX and NM area.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS
Offer hands on and distance training in all areas of food and dining operations such as:
?Food cost and labor cost control
?Menus, meal service and plate presentation
?Hospitality and customer service
?Sanitation, Food Safety and HACCP.
?General Nutrition and special diets
?Assist with Food and Dining Program/Systems Development
?Monitors and audits communities for compliance with Five Star Standards of Food and Dining
*Updates and communicates with Corporate Director of Food and Dining Services and respective Regional Director of Operations on communities and identifies any significant operation trends which need addressed and makes recommendations for improved performance.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
?Expertise in Food and Dining operations and training.
?Strong Computer skills with Microsoft Office Package
?Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
?Ability to work independently and as part of a team
?Ability to lead by example
?Organization, initiative and follow thru.
?Flexibility, dependability, accuracy and timeliness.
?Overnight travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Hotel Restaurant Management, Nutrition, or Related Field.
Culinary training a plus.

Education and/or Experience: Minimum 5 years management and/or training experience in senior housing market, including independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Serve Safe Certifi
