SERVICE MANAGER (TJ)

Tahoe Joe?s is a dinner only steakhouse that utilizes unique cooking techniques and enlightened hospitality to deliver the finest in Sierra Mountain Dining to our guests. Providing enlightened hospitality and effective leadership to a staff of employees who take pride in the consistent execution of our wonderful concept.

Responsibilities include following all guidance and instruction from the General Manager. Follow the Opening and Closing Manager Routine outlines as set forth in the Management Training Program and Operations Manual. Be aware of all policies, procedures, training materials, memos, mailings, faxes, emails, voice messages and postings. Ensure all legal and administrative requirements are met. Review legal and administrative requirements to assure compliance and complete administrative tasks in a timely manner. Check-in with all front of the house hourly employees. Meet and communicate with the back of house management throughout shift. Spend a minimum of one-hour supporting the kitchen functions if opening manager. Review products throughout shift to ensure proper preparation, quality and consistency. Coach employees as necessary. Assure that employees are following proper procedures, uniform guidelines, and policies as outlines in the respective manuals. Insure that proper safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene procedures are being followed on a regular basis as outlined through the company safety program and in-store safety committee. Provide leadership, motivation and discipline as necessary. Review all financial reports and procedural forms on a daily basis. Manage costs through correct use of recipes and productive use of labor. Keep maintenance contracts current through regular review. Review financial results daily and periodically to assure that restaurant is within or below allotted budget. Assure proper upkeep of building facility, such as the repair and maintenance needs. Complete additional assignments given by supervisor(s) on a timely basis. The Service Manager position requires a High School diploma ; college degree preferred; previous supervisory experience required for external hires; certified in-house trainer and/or Manager Assistant for internal promotes; able to lift 40 pounds, 20 pounds overhead; basic mathematics and money handling; basic Word; Excel; basic Windows computer program knowledge; Read and write English, Spanish a plus.
