NCLA is currently looking for an enthusiastic Sanitation Supervisors to join one of our vessels.

 

The responsibilities of the Sanitation Supervisor position include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the entire Sanitation department in charge of cleanliness and upkeep of equipment of all F & B related areas.
Holds daily inspections in all F & B related areas in order to comply with FDA and USPH and company standards, procedures and regulations.
Ensure efficient operation of entire galley, restaurant, storeroom and bar area sanitation and cleanliness as well as the on-board hotel operation.
Responsible for training and supervising the Kitchen Stewards, Asst. Kitchen Stewards and all Utilities according to USPH regulations.
Leads all USPH inspections and furnishes a report to the onboard management as well as the corporate office.
Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and the SEMS, and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for the position.
Holds weekly USPH and maintenance meetings in conjunction with onboard management and engineers in order to guarantee a safe work place.
Work as a team member.
Follow "Clean as you go" work habits.
Do any special duty requested by superiors.
Follow safe work habits and notify supervisors of any dangerous or unsafe place in work area.
Follow and teach the sanitation SOP from the corporate office.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
5 years experience as kitchen steward on a cruise ship or large Casino or Resort operation, and 5 years F&B background on a cruise ship or in a hotel operation.
Excellent management and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate employees and ensure teamwork.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Experienced in training according to the corporate guidelines.
Fully USPH certified.
Hands on attitude.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 
Able to lift at least 25 lbs.
Climb on step stool or ladder in order to complete elements of job or facilitate maintenance issues.
Bend, lean and stoop without hindrance.
Use stairs often.
Work within different temperature changes-indoors to outdoors.
Able to pass basic safety course.
All in here mentioned is a minimal description of duties.  Other work requirements may be necessary and assigned as business or maritime law dictates.
