Position:

Gloria Jean's Coffees is currently seeking a Store General Manager to operate the coffeehouse located at:
Palisades Center
1000 Palisades Center Drive
West Nyack, NY 10094

 

Responsibilities include:

Directly responsible for providing excellent customer service, building sales and customer counts, controlling inventory and expenses, increasing profits, driving sales and effectively leading their team. Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Providing overall leadership, store direction, training, coaching and development of all store personnel
Planning and implementing programs for increasing profit
Maintaining store inventory levels 
Hiring & disciplining employees 
Labor scheduling 
Implementing and managing controls and standards to reduce shrink
Ensuring company standards are in place and are understood by all store personnel
Responsibility for the store, productivity, service and quality during all hours of operation and non-operation 
Maintaining excellent customer relations
Maintaining store appearance and cleanliness
Maintaining service standards
Developing and implementing plans to maintain and increase customer counts including local store marketing, merchandising and service strategies for the store.
Developing and implementing plans for increasing store sales, gathering feedback from customers, and setting high standards
Implementing and maintaining an aggressive plan to control all operating costs (labor, product, safety, workers? compensation and liability costs, etc.) 
Communicating plans and directives to store employees thru store meetings, safety meetings, & workshops
 
Store Managers typically work a 50-hour workweek to include some weekend nights, and some holidays.

 

Position Qualifications:

2-3 years retail/food service experience.
2 years supervisor/management experience, coffeehouse environment a plus.
Solid operations background.
Strong training and communication skills.
Ability to effectively lead, coach, and develop team.
Ability to analyze financial reports.
Ability to plan and prioritize workload.
Ability to work a flexible schedule (50 hours/week ? some nights, weekends and holidays
