Supervisor, Quality Assurance

Ensure product quality through the implementation and monitoring of programs for:

HACCP

Tracking ingredient and product (Traceability ? Lot Tracking)

Supplier certification

Measuring quality and safety of ingredients for WIP and finished product

Measuring process control and adherence to specifications

Measuring controls for the environment.

Labeling products and shipping finished goods.

Manages area of responsibility to ensure and maintain a ?Superior? rating from the annual AIB inspection

Supervises the Quality Assurance Technicians.

Assures presence of specifications on all lines (finishing and baking)

Monitors the organization of PQG data collected

Monitors the organization of the retain samples (library) program

Follow up with the PQG certification program to ensure all finished goods meet specifications

Follow up with implemented programs to ensure compliance with GMP?s by all employees and other personnel in the production facility

Aids in the administration of biological monitoring procedures to determine the efficacy of sanitation methods

Monitors employee practices to aid in a pest-free environment

Supervises operations to comply with all applicable safety laws and regulation, as well as Company safety policies, procedures and standards

Maintains a fair and professional work environment that focuses on business objectives, but also balances quality of work- life factors for employees

Assists in developing and maintaining training and development programs that support key performance goals for the Company, as well as provide a satisfying and rewarding work environment for employees


B.A. or B.S. degree in the field of science (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science or Technology)

2 years minimum experience in food manufacturing supervision, preferably in the bakery/dessert industry

Strong quantitative skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to think critically

Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with groups

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work
