Team Member
Position Purpose: Creates a memorable experience for each and every guest by providing fast and friendly service, quality products and a clean, safe store environment.
Major Areas of Accountability:
? The responsibilities of a team member are divided into three roles and it is necessary for each team member to be able to function in each of these roles. While in each role, it is expected that the Team Member:
? Greets each guest that enters the store within 15 seconds with a verbal or non-verbal greeting, smile, and eye contact.
? Proactively engages the guest in conversation.
? Seeks opportunities to educate and suggestively sell.
? Executes all company initiatives.
Greeter:
? Greet and interact with the guest, direct guest flow, prepare and deliver product, operate the cash register, control cash, and keep store clean.
? Welcome questions and educate the guests.
? Know guest?s name and drink preference.
? Solicit guest?s order, ring up sale and provide correct change in a timely fashion
? Direct guest to pick-up area.
? Thank guest for coming to Caribou.
? Pour drip brew.
? Manage cash drawer, verify starting cash, count down and complete end-of-shift paperwork, place shift deposit in safe.
? Complete all side jobs and checklists.
? Keep register and guest areas clean.
Barista:
? Make espresso drinks, smoothies and coolers, deliver drinks in less than 3 minutes, interact with guest, and keep store clean.
? Welcome questions and educate the guests.
? Know guest?s name and drink preference.
? Talk with guest while making drinks, time permitting.
? Thank each guest.
? Make each drink within 3 minutes.
? Operate espresso machine and video screen.
? Batch like drinks together.
? Identify each drink upon delivery.
? Prepare all beverages in accordance with Caribou?s five star standards.
? Make all drinks according to Caribou?s formulas.
? Serve beverages that look attractive, no spills or overflowing whip cream.
? Complete all side jobs and checklists.
? Keep barista and guest areas clean.
Superglue:
? Backup the Greeter and Barista, make and pour drip brew, fill food orders, restock food, beans and merchandise, keep store clean.
? Welcome questions and educate the guests.
? Talk with guests in seating area, time permitting.
? Expedite guest orders.
? Make drip brew.
? Package bulk beans.
? Refill cocoa/cooler mix/whip.
? Assist Greeter and/or Barista as directed/needed.
? Utilize 2nd register to ring up sales when 3+ people are in line.
? Back up Barista if drink wait is more than 3 minutes.
? Restock all areas to ensure smooth flow (e.g., cooler mix, whip, flavor shots, milk, food, packaging and mixing stations).
? Maintain mixing stations and clean tables in a timely fashion.
? Complete all side jobs and checklists.
? Keep guest area, workstation, bathrooms, and back counter areas clean in a timely fashion.
Minimum Qualifications:

? Work Experience:
? Restaurant, retail or guest service experience preferred

Physical Demands:
The physical requirements for this position are hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds, and being able to stand for 4 to 8 hours, or the ability to accomplish the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
