Wardrobe Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for the supervision of administrative and technical support for wardrobe operation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Supervises operations of the wardrobe department?s garment room and seamstress area on all shifts. Prepares weekly work schedules and assignments. Maintains records, submits reports and coordinates stock receiving and logging functions. Inventories and prepares reports on all uniforms and company stock. Presents garment fitting and uniform information at new hire orientation. Provides work direction and training of wardrobe staff. Assists employees with uniform exchanges according to established procedures. Reviews and prepares vendor invoicing for services. Assists with fitting of all employees of the casino, ensuring that all uniforms appear professional, neat, clean and professionally altered according to company guideline. Ensures adherence to all procedures and assists in maintaining the highest level of accuracy, security, and customer service. Must be able to handle difficult situations within limits of authority. Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah?s and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.



QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Must possess strong administrative and organizational skills. Ability to interact with employees and management team. Prior wardrobe or related experience inventory control experience is required with strong communication and verbal skills. Must have good knowledge and experience with record keeping. Must have understanding of mending and alteration techniques. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance.


PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds from the ground to above head level. Must be able to lift, carry and hang uniforms constantly from one rack to another. Must be able to push and pull heavy racks of uniforms. Must be able to reach a uniform over the head to either hand or to remove one. Must be able to climb or step up and down from a ladder or step stool. Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine and photo copier. Microsoft Office proficiency is preferred. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to continually and quickly maneuver in a small work area. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
