ampm Food Category Manager

The ampm Food Category Manager will develop the strategic and tactical business/promotional plans for 1000 ampm locations on the West Coast.  The position is responsible for the fresh food service at all ampm branded sites.


Accountabilities Include:

Create strategic development of food programs for ampm locations.
Lead and deliver financial performance results.
Execute development of new programs and products.
Facilitate development of food safety programs.
Negotiate with vendors to achieve optimal results.
Build consensus across many retail functional areas, including Marketing and Operations.


Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of ampm Food Category Manager applicants must have:

Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer.
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in retail operations and/or food service.
A minimum of basic level skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
The ability to manage the development of food product, product brands, and operational execution processes.
A proven track history of strong leadership or supervisory skills.


Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:

Understanding of Category Management processes and how various retail departments (i.e. price book, accounting, operations, plan-o-gramming, etc.) interact to make marketing programs effective at the store level.
Strong understanding of typical Category Management Key Performance Indicators.
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, or food related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years experience in the Convenience Channel or Restaurant Channel.
