Job Responsibilities:
Bring your energy and enthusiasm to this leadership role by developing relationships on campus with students, faculty, and staff. The Druid Hills Bookstore is currently searching for a Academic Bookstore Trade Manager to manage our trade book operation. This $800,000 specialty bookstore primarily supports the School of Law. Approximately $235,000 in sales volume comprised of over 31,000 academic titles.
We are searching for a highly responsible, customer service driven leader who possess 1-year trade book experience, and who thrives in a fast paced, challenging and ever changing environment. This dynamic trade manager would provide exceptional customer service, coordinate creative sales promotions, drive sales, prepare book displays, handle inventory management and prepare returns.
1. Communicates openly and honestly, respects ideas and opinions, supports learning and growth environment through recognizing achievements
2. Demonstrate passion for exceeding customer expectation and ensuring customer service standards are consistently met
3. Open minded, creative and solutions oriented
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
5. Previous bookstore experience is a plus
6. Cooperative, committed to common goal and respectful of team and colleagues
7. Maintaining a commitment to a strong community presence through on and off campus partnerships
8. You will partner with the campus liaison to properly categorize and shelve books according to the existing academic ideology in an effort to maximize sales and exceed customer satisfaction

Job Requirements:
1. Master's Degree or similar experience required
2. 1 year of solid trade book management experience with outstanding customer service and organizational skills
3. Strong communication skills both written and oral
4. Demonstrated financial and business acumen
5. Strong business acumen and analytical skills
6. Ability to build teams and partnerships
7. Proven track record with people management and development
8. Responsible for actions, follows through on commitment
