Assistant Bookstore Manager

Matthews Medical Books, an employee owned company, is a distributor of medical and health science books and a leading contract operator of health science bookstores. We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with entrepreneurial drive who would like to assist in the management of our store on the campus of the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

 

Matthews assistant managers are committed to supporting the store manager in all normal day-to-day operations and overall staff supervison.  At Matthews we pride ourselves in selecting the most qualified candidate.  We want people who desire to become a valuable part of our management teams; people who will face up to the exciting challenge of working within the health schience community in Cleveland. 

 

Applicants must be computer literate and have outstanding organizational skills.  Previous retail experience, especially in retail bookstores and medical uniforms, is preferred.  Candidates should also have good leadership and communication skills.  We are seeking someone with a proven record of providing great customer service.  Accounting experience or accounting ability will be very beneficial.In addition, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
