Assistant Buyer, Men's Apparel
Our client, a regional specialty retail chain, is currently searching for an Assistant Buyer for their Mens Apparel area.
This position, reporting to a Buyer, will be responsible for assisting in the writing of orders, price management of their department, SKU verification, and working with the Distribution Center regarding the receipt and shipment of products. In addition the Assistant Buyer will have buying responsibility for departments of their own. The Assistant Buyer will be accountable for negotiating purchases and will travel to the various marketplaces to meet with their vendors.
Candidates being considered for this position should have apparel knowledge in the Mens area coupled with store operations experience. 1-2 years of experience in a multi-store corporate office buying environment is also required. The individual selected for this position can anticipate a career path leading to a Buyer position within 1-2 years.
