Assistant Cosmetics Financial Buyer

The Assistant Cosmetics Financial Buyer executes replenishment and non-replenishment orders to increase volume, optimize profitability and assure in-stock positions of key SKUs. Collaborates with buy team to optimize replenishment assortment. Partners with the Divisional Forecaster to generate accurate demand forecasts. Collaborates with the Divisional Allocators to generate accurate initial orders.  Maintains active communication with stores and suppliers. Drives the operational aspects of Nordstrom's replenishment system.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Uses Nordstrom Merchandising systems to manage store buy using Replenishment system and other Divisional tools to maintain the assortment.

Monitors Open to Buy and Financial Planning and makes necessary updates

Maintains regular communication with stores, i.e., replenishment count schedule, discontinued item and exit strategies

Communicates with suppliers on divisional replenishment requirements and expectations

Monitors replenishment supplier performance by location and makes call-outs as needed

Monitors supplier compliance

Communicates supplier non-compliance to the Financial Manager

Works with supplier to establish and maintain efficient assortments


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Excellent technical skills

Experience as a Merchandise buyer, Inventory Manager or Planner

Intermediate or above Excel knowledge

Familiarity with Nordstrom Financial Planning System

Ability to learn and adapt to new systems

Ability to multi task

Excellent communication skills are a must
