Assistant General Manager - Queens, NY

Staples’ Assistant General Mangers are responsible for supporting our General Managers in executing our Easy Brand Promise by:

 

? Demonstrating and reinforcing the behaviors that make every shopping experience ?Easy? for our customers.

? Actively developing and maintaining a team approach in the day-to-day management of store associates.

? Developing associates using coaching, observation and feedback tools that will result in improved performance.

? Effectively coordinating and managing all store activities including inventory, backroom, facility maintenance, front end and money room.

? Achieving and exceeding budgeted sales and profit goals.

 

The most qualified candidates for this position have the following skills and experience:

 

? A minimum of 3 - 5 years progressively responsible store management experience in a high volume retail environment.

? Strong leadership and team management skills.

? Excellent communication and customer service skills.

? Ability to drive sales in a customer service focused environment.

? Bachelor?s degree preferred.
