Assistant Manager - Specialty Store

Direct all activities related to customer service, merchandise flow, store maintenance, expense management, shortage prevention, sales support functions and Mail Order Processing with a positive attitude

 

 

Responsibilities

Store Operations Management

Managing team of cashiers including staffing, training, coaching and scheduling.

Planning staff daily goals, tasks and assignments

Overseeing total store operations including inventory, warehousing of product and stocking

Quality Control of received product from on-site production plant and other vendors

Establish Overall store cleanliness

Assisting the Owners with creating and providing Incredible Customer Service

Fostering two-way communications to build rapport with Customers, Staff and the Plant

Monitoring cash register lines to minimize customer waiting time

Responding to employee and customer requests for assistance and resolving their problems

Assisting with development and implementation of store events.

 

Travel & Tourism

Greet and direct tour groups; conduct group tours

Guides tour bus drivers, tour group leaders and tour operators through bus parking requirements

Schedule tour bus groups for Cannery visits and Tasting Parties

Send tour information to tour groups, guides, and tour operators

 

Work Environment



Duties are performed primarily throughout the entire store and warehouse

Work requires moderate amount of manual dexterity, standing for long periods, flexibility with frequent lifting of product (which can weigh in excess of fifty pounds)

Continuous interaction with Store Owner, other Assistant Manager, customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

Authority Level

 Reports directly to Business Owners

Interacts and coordinates with other Assistant Manager

 

 



Qualifications

 

Must be 18 years of age

Full Time Work-Must have an open availability to include Saturdays and some evenings.

Must be willing to work a flexible weekly schedule.

Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Dependability and accountability

Prior Store Supervisory Experience a plus

Learn to use the Quick Books? point of sale system

Use of Microsoft Word, Explorer and Publisher
