Assistant Retail Sales Manager

ASSISTANT RETAIL SALES MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Retail Sales Manager supports the Retail Sales Manager in general operations, and supports the Associate Sales Director in facilitating the ticketing program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Administrative
? In Retail Sales Manager's absence will supervise full and part time store employees
? In Retail Sales Manager's absence will maintain employee schedule and document payroll hours
? Run reports documenting ticket sales, voucher usage and other ticketing related tracking
? Assist Associate Sales Director in coordinating multi-attraction ticketing programs
Retail
? Support the Retail Sales Manager with the supervision of deliveries, set up, and presentation of display items
? Assist the Retail Sales Manager in the preparation of store product for display and sales
? Assist Retail Sales Manager in marketing store product in museum's store and through an e-commerce site on GEM's webpage
? Assist Retail Sales Manager in developing store's crisis management plan, customer service plan and other operational manuals
? Operate POS system, assist customers, encourage and process sales of tickets and store products
? Supervise the selling of tickets and work with security to control museum access
Inventory
? Assist Retail Manager in gathering regular inventories maintained by staff
Special Projects
? Any additional duties as assigned by Retail Sales Manager or the Executive Director of Museum
*all other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
College Degree or equivalent experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be organized and detail oriented
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Friendly and professional demeanor
Familiar with computers and POS system
