ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A RETAIL OPPORTUNITY IN AN EXCITING GROWTH ENVIRONMENT?DO YOU THRIVE ON CHALLENGE?
We are seeking buyers or associate buyers with strong analytical and product skills for apparel areas. The ideal candidate comes from a multi-store retail environment with a background in softlines. Our goal is to hire associate buyers who will have a defined area of buying responsibility and who will be ready to be promoted to buyer within 6 months.
Responsibilities:
Work with buyer to develop fresh assortments
Manage margin, OTB, and receipt flow
Analyze inventory and assortment reports and make recommendations
Responsible for margin, turn, and sales
Communicate with and build vendor relationships
Partner with planning to develop forecasts and react to business
Requirements:
2+ years experience as an associate buyer or buyer in a fast paced, multi-store retail environment - background in ladies, childrens, or juniors is preferred
Strong product, negotiation, analytical, communication and leadership skills
Ability to partner with cross-functional teams
Ability & desire to grow professionally to the buyer level
Computer Proficiency including spreadsheets such as Excel
