Associate Technical Designer - Missy/Petite

This position is responsible for assisting the Technical Design team in developing and updating specification packages, tracking fit progress and communicating data to cross-functional partners. Additionally, participates in cross-functional projects and activities as needed.

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Measure garments and prepare specification paperwork for fittings, noting any fit or construction concerns.
- Schedule and coordinate models and fittings. Process all modeling invoices.
- Attend fittings, taking fit notes for the Technical Designers.
- Assist in developing costing specifications including but not limited to sketching, inputting measurements.
- Assist in managing department data, including but not limited to logging samples, shipping samples, fit tracking, faxing, and maintaining department records.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Bachelor degree in fashion design, merchandising, apparel production, textiles or equivalent industry experience.
- Knowledge of garment construction, fabric characteristics, and garment performance standards.
- Knowledge of pattern making and pattern grading, apparel production.
- Some familiarity of PDM software (specification development, drawing) as well as basic skills in standard office software (spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)
- Good analytical ability to gather and interpret information and recommend solutions.
