Daymon Worldwide, Inc., an international food industry sales and marketing company is currently seeking a candidate to work with their exciting team in the Colton, CA area.

 

Business Manager

 

This individual is assigned to selected categories in the Grocery department and is responsible for achieving private label sales and share growth in those categories on behalf of the Category Manager. The individual works in tandem with a number of Category Managers and is responsible for executing own brand and procurement strategies for the customer. Developing category reviews to measure performance and creating action plans are key elements of the position. The individual is accountable for representing a group of suppliers that sell to the customer in specific categories.

 

Responsibilities include: Achieve company's financial goals. Achieve corporate brand sales and penetration goals. Successfully introduce new and innovative items and/or programs. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships. Identify and prioritize business-building opportunities, including opportunity gaps and key consumer trends. Understand any product regulations that are, will or may affect various categories. Analyze market trends, retail and cost using internal and syndicated data information. Discover effective approaches to develop selling propositions & closing the deal. Think and act strategically as well as tactically to achieve business plan results

 

A BA/BS degree in business or related field is required; some grocery background is a plus. Must have excellent analytical, communication, marketing and strategic abilities. Strong skills in building customer/supplier relationships and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are also essential.
