Business Planning Manager - (MF11903)

Position Accountabilities:

Assures sales, margin and seasonality plans are achieved

Assures pre-season and in-season financial plans and forecasts accurately reflect category trends

Assures centralized communication on business trends for assigned categories

Assures weekly review and price adjustments made to achieve sell through and margin dollar goals

Position Essential Functions:

Drives sales and profitability through analysis of sales and inventory data to establish recommendations for future buying decisions, which help establish Famous Footwear as a precision retailer

Partner with Buyers to create and execute common strategies that maximize sales, gross margin and inventory turn.

Develop, implement and continuously improve processes and programs for pre-season and in-season financial plans and forecasts (including weekly and monthly rolling operating forecasts, inventory position status, sales, margin dollars and percentage, inventory turn and weeks of supply reports)

Collaborate with other Business Planning Managers to set and drive strategic directions that are cohesive across divisions, based on historical analysis and changes in trend

Actively develop partnerships with key vendors in their business category

Communicate all plan changes to Location Planning and Assortment Planning on a regular basis to ensure a common vision across functional areas.

Position Specifications:

Educational Preference:

Bachelor's degree of equivalent

Job Experience Preference:

2-5 years previous retail planning experience preferred

Software/Hardware Experience Preference:

Microsoft Office, Arthur Planning Software preferred
