CASHIER

The successful OfficeMax Selling Associate is expected to positively contribute to the customer shopping experience by providing friendly, knowledgeable and professional service. Demonstrate a customer first perspective by contacting customers, asking questions, recommending product, and encouraging add-on product while accepting coaching and direction. When not with customers, keep aisles faced and shelves stocked, ensure the store is clean and organized with price signage in order. Assist in the inventory of merchandise and identify low stock levels, discrepancies and report them to management.

QualificationsMust demonstrate a customer first perspective and fully participate in the "Boundless" selling culture. Work a variety of day/evening shifts as needed, including weekend; broad availability. Drive sales volume and margin through active involvement with customers and Team Members on the sales floor. Fully contribute to store sales goals. Assist in identifying low stock levels, inventory discrepancies, and report them to management. When not with customers ensure that the store is clean and organized and all pricing signage is in order. Perform register sales transactions quickly and accurately in accordance with established cash control procedures and customer service guidelines. Able to use electronic communication device during all working hours requiring a headset or a device on/in the ear. Provide assistance in all areas of the store based on business needs; perform all other tasks and assignments as requested by Store Management.
