This is your opportunity to join Petro Stopping Centers and share in our continued growth and success. We are presently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Category Manager within our Corporate Merchandising Department.  

 

This position is responsible for the coordination of planning, merchandising, purchasing and promotional processes for our apparel product category. Responsibilities include sales performance, gross margin and inventory turns for the category. This position will be located at our headquarters office in El Paso, Texas.  

 

Qualified candidates will possess the following qualifications:

 
Bachelor degree in merchandising or business administration. MBA degree preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years experience in planning, merchandising, purchasing and sales promotion in a high volume retail environment preferably in apparel or general merchandise.
Experience in achieving targets such as GMROII, inventory turns, profit per square foot, etc?..
Category management experience in fast paced multi-site operation.
Demonstrated ability in managing multiple vendors and suppliers.  
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Some travel required.
