Counter Sales Representative - Construction Equipment Rental Industry

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position in our Freeport, TX location:

 Customer Service Representative BASIC PURPOSE

 

This position is responsible for the professional and efficient servicing of all walk-in and telephone customers in the rental of construction/industrial equipment and store items.  This position is considered the Company?s front line contact with the customer.  Persons occupying this position must display a courteous, helpful and professional attitude at all times.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.  Qualify customer needs. Using the computer system, selects equipment/merchandise from inventory and secures for rental/purchase.  

2.  Enter customer orders into the computerized rental system.

3.  For equipment that is unavailable at the store location, perform research to determine when the equipment will become available.

4.  Handle customer complaints in a professional manner in order to resolve the complaint to the satisfaction of the customer and NationsRent.

5.  Provide adequate notice to Dispatch and Service Departments for upcoming equipment requirements.

6.  Load and unload equipment.

7.  Deliver and pick up equipment.

8.  Perform basic maintenance to equipment.

9.  Follow Standard Operating Procedures.

10. Other duties as assigned by manager.

EDUCATION

 

High school diploma or G.E.D.

 EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

 

At least one-year prior knowledge of the applications of various construction/industrial equipment a plus.

At lease one year prior customer service experience.

Able to read instructions, numbers legibly in English

Able to lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel.  Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
