General Store Manager

We are seeking experienced General Sales Managers to manage all facets of a Consumer Electronic Retail Store.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, successful in the Custom In-Home Initiative, ability to lead a sales team and committed to outstanding Customer Service.  This candidate must also have a core understanding of proper recruiting and hiring, and must be organized and dependable.

 

This position reports to the Regional Manager.  The General Sales Manager?s responsibilities and qualifications are as follows:

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

-  Manages 1 to 3 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 1 to 14 employees in the Mobile Department and Audio Video Department

-  Successfully directs staff in the selling of consumer electronic products in accordance to sales guidelines.

-  Directly manages the operational implementation of all Tweeter retail strategies and programs

-  Ensures store staff compliance with all Tweeter workplace policies, procedures, and practices

-  Conducts job interviews and makes final hiring decisions of store staff

-  Drives store performance through regular coaching and training meetings

-  Supervises day-to-day issues of employees including sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, adhering to store operating procedures

-  Directs all aspects of total store operations including but not limited to the opening and closing of the store

-  Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties

-  Oversees proper merchandising of inventory throughout the store

 

Qualifications

 

-  Prior audio video retail experience preferred

-  2 to 3 years of management / supervisory experience strongly desired

-  Solid coaching and leadership skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills required

-  Proven sales performance record and demonstrated ability to deliver the highest level of service to customers

-  Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks through effective prioritizing and delegating

-  Intermediate proficiency in computer skills including Tyler, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

-  Availability to work up to 50 hours / 5 days weekly
