Hourly Department Supervisor
Currently we are seeking a Department Supervisor (World Leaders) for our Catonsville, MD location. This is a full time, non-exempt position.
Department Supervisors (World Leaders) interact and sell product to our guests, train associates on product knowledge, selling skills, merchandising standards, guest services and store procedures, and lead a team of associates in promoting sales, service and profit goals.
Our stores are designed to categorize product into ?Worlds? for easier shopping and engaging presentations. We are seeking candidates to become ?World Leaders? in bikes, dolls, action figures, video games, board games, juvenile (baby registry), receiving, and guest services. This entry-level supervisory position will allow you to learn our company as a ?business owner? in one of our departments. Meanwhile enhancing your operational skills to possibly become a member of management as the next step in your career.
In addition to having 1-3 years of supervisory experience in specialty retail, discount or department store retail, home center or other mass-merchandising stores, the successful candidates will have a passion for selling and for providing exceptional guest service; as well as, possess strong leadership, communication, training, organizational and computer skills. Each World Leader will be responsible recruiting, training and motivating their ?world? teams. Some college experience is preferred.
