Position: This is a long-term, part-time position based in local pet food retailer. Your responsibilities would include approaching and educating the store"s customers about good pet nutrition. This is not the typical demonstrator position you may have seen in a grocery or mass retailer store. You will not be pinned down at a demonstration table simply passing out coupons and waiting for the next person to come along. You will have the luxury of roaming the entire store to talk with all sorts of concerned pet owners who are looking for the best information and products for their pets.

You will need reliable transportation that will allow you to transport a small table and some supplies (all of which will be provided) to and from the store. You will also need an active email account and consistent access to a personal computer, for the purpose of communication with your supervisor and the company.

Skills: You must be personable and enjoy approaching people and engaging them in conversation regarding their pets. If you are the type of person that starts conversations in the supermarket check out line, or enjoys talking about your children or family, you have the right personality for this job. A sales background is helpful but not necessary. This is not a high pressure sale; however, we do look for passionate pet lovers who are excited to talk about how to improve the life of pets through superior nutrition.

Hours: You could work up to 15 hours per week depending on the store availability in your area. Typical hours are 11-3 Saturday and 12-4 Sunday, although individual store traffic patterns and candidate availability are taken into account. You will be guaranteed consistent weekly work.

Pay: Initial hourly pay is up to $12 per hour with experience. There will be an opportunity for increases within the first 3-6 months based on attendance and performance.
