The Position
DWR's ideal Inventory Planning Manager candidate is an energetic, highly performing individual with a strong desire to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. The candidate will posses technical financial planning skills as well as broad-based business management capabilities and will be eager to apply both in critical decision making situations. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being held to extremely high expectations.


Specific Responsibilities Include:
' Partner closely with Merchandising to build financial strategies for multiple merchandise categories with the expectation that they will meet or exceed demand, sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment (GMROI) and inventory turn goals.
' Develop in-season forecasts of sales and inventory, and identify sales trends at style and SKU level to highlight specific financial strategies and tactics.
' Present departmental forecasted sales and inventory in monthly open-to-buy meetings, highlighting risks and opportunities.
' Develop and present quarterly and annual strategies and financial plans to the Executive Committee and CEO with the Planning Director and merchandising/marketing partners.
' Manage the reconciliation of top-down company plans to departmental plans
' Partner with Merchandising, Marketing and planning director to develop intermediate and long term financial goals.
' Participate in and/or lead additional company initiatives as appropriate.
' Cultivate a collaborative, creative, and positive work environment.
' Lead planning staff to develop style-level to department-level bottom-up plans
' Direct and manage the activities and career development of the planning staff





Requirements
' Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
' 5+ years experience as a Planner or equivalent.
' 2 years experience leading and coaching a team.
' Strong technical and business process aptitude.
' Demonstrated ability to work independently and with teams interchangeably to deliver results.
' Strong oral, written, and formal presentation skills. Must be articulate, professional and confident.
' Detail oriented, analytical thinker.
' Demonstrated ability to manage business in an entrepreneurial environment.
' Thrives in a rapid, constantly changing and evolving environment.
' Ability to build strong relationships within team and across functions.
' Flexible and adaptable.
' Expertise in Excel, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with ERP systems.
' Willing to take initiative and accountability.
' Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities.
' Communicates well at all levels of the organization.
