Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Loan Consultant. This is a sales position that involves prospecting, networking, and the provision of outstanding customer service.
The job function of the Loan Consultant is to produce quality loans by selling World?s loan products and services to realtors, builders, homebuyers and others. The Loan Consultant manages and follows the loan by monitoring the process from Underwriting, Appraisal to Final Documentation and funding of the loan.


Job Responsibilities:
Maintain thorough knowledge of all of World?s real estate loan programs for 1 ? 4 units, to fully explain loan products in detail to borrowers, realtors and other interested parties Call on and build business relationships with realtors, mortgage brokers, builders, homebuyers and the general public Make sales presentations to various groups, in one-on-one and / or group / office settings Attend brokers? open houses to represent and promote World?s products Participate in local Board of Realtors, Women?s Counsel of Realtors or similar organizations to gain understanding of and recognition in the local market area Visit local savings branches to assist savings customers in obtaining mortgage loans, when applicable Maintain familiarity with general content and intent of applicable fair lending and disclosure regulations, and performs in accordance with regulations and World policies in this area Be able to quickly respond in-person or by other technological means, to answer questions and counsel borrowers or other parties, on appropriate financial decisions Minimum Job Requirements: High school diploma required; college degree preferred One to two years of direct sales experience is expected One year as a loan representative or equivalent experience in real estate sales, appraisals, underwriting or other direct sales is preferred Must be able to work flexible hours and be willing to travel Must possess a valid drivers license in the state of employment Working knowledge of standard loan products in the industry and strong familiarity with underwriting guidelines is required Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively in-person or over the telephone is required.
